Serving Cookeville, Crossville, and the surrounding Upper Cumberland region, our community-focused radio stations have become an integral part of our listeners' lives. Founded in 2011, we boast the largest radio news team in the state, ensuring that our coverage of local stories and high school sports is unrivalled. Our commitment to serving our listeners extends to providing excellent coverage during times of severe weather, offering reassurance and up-to-date information when our community needs it the most.
As we continue to grow and share our platform with more voices, we're seeking an independent problem solver who is no stranger to perseverance or challenge. As our new Accountant/Business Office Assistant, your primary goal will be to fuel our mission of being the most outstanding community radio stations in the southeast.
With your help, we will continue to forge strong bonds within our community and redefine the role of community radio stations in the digital age.
This is a part time position.
Accountant/Business Office Assistant Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone to assist with posting deposits in our AR system, entering AP invoices into Quickbooks, updating sales reports, monthly office inventory ordering and assisting the President in other accounting/business tasks.
You should be organized. You should be customer-oriented. You should admit the things you do not know but you should be teachable. You should be a strong communicator. You should be respectful of your dealings with important and sensitive information.
We are looking for someone that is professional and can take charge to make sure the day-to-day activities of the business office run smoothly. The right candidate must be able to work independently, be able to realize the issues they are dealing with and be able to apply critical thinking to solve problems within the scope of the company's policies.
Job Requirements:
A prospective Stonecom team member must be:
Detailed Orientated and able to stay on task and follow direction
Outgoing and not afraid to ask questions
Proficient in basic computer skills: Excel, Word, PDF, Quickbooks
Knowledgeable with how an office works
Efficient, able to adapt to new tasks, and able to think rationally
Confident, self-assured and reliable
